Welcome! I am John Sharkey, candidate for Wadsworth City Council. I have served as Wadsworth City Council at Large, and I am currently the second term Ward 3 Councilman for the city of Wadsworth. I served on the Economic Development and Storm Water Committees as well. The Tri-County Labor Council, AFL-CIO, has endorsed me.
I work full-time as a Maintenance Supervisor for the YMCA in Akron. In my spare time I get the greatest joy from spending time with my grandchildren. I also enjoy working on my antique car and photography projects.
I would like to thank the citizens of Medina County for allowing me the opportunity to run for city council. I have been in public service in one form or another for oever 30 years. If elected, I will work endlessly to serve the residents of our great city. I look forward to your support during election season.
